The funky art-filled lobby got me excited! Loved the nearby subway, easy to explore from there. Rooms were cozy, but the pillows were a bit much. Staff were friendly, helped with everything. Neighborhood changing, hope it keeps its character. Great spot for exploring NYC!

During our family trip to New York City, we stayed at a hotel in the Lower East Side. The location was fantastic - within walking distance to many restaurants and galleries. The rooftop bar offered a cool vibe, although seating during happy hour could be a bit challenging. Our kids loved the 24/7 open bar for coffee, and the gym was a hit with its great facilities. While the high-tech check-in/check-out process lacked a personal touch, the design of the hotel was modern and appealing. The room was a bit snug for a family of four, but the cleanliness and comfort of the bed made up for it.

CitizenM my new favorite hotel. Michael, Michael, and Luigi made me feel at home. Rooftop bar is stunning, but rooms are cozy. Convenient location, perfect for solo travelers. Open lounge to work from is a plus. Functional modern hotel with a warm atmosphere. I'm definitely a Citizen now.

While my stay was wonderful, there were a couple of minor things that could be improved. the hot water in the room was not as hot as expected, and the shower layout caused water to leak onto the floor.

Everything was great - room tidy and cute, bed comfy, staff super helpful, and location awesome! Loved the rooftop bar and easy access to subways and great eateries. Enjoyed chilling in the lounge watching TV and loved that drinks could be kept cold in the room fridge. 🥂 Some may find the bed setup a bit awkward for couples, but it didn't bother us at all, just something to note casually.

One downside was the courtyard in front of the hotel, which had a lot of homeless people and individuals trying to sell drugs. Additionally, the lifts in the hotel were a bit slow.
